about

This album was written over the course of 5 years. Inspired by touring solo, and with my bands The Whipsaws and Easton Stagger Phillips. I recorded the songs using nothing but a $99 usb mic, Garageband, and a variety of effects plug ins I got off the internet for free.

Track Name: Lost Again
This train is bound for home castles made of stone pass me like a grey scale time zone I see the country in the sun twin cities on the run west coast for one more night of fun it's a constant destination my solitary friend no one can ever find me i'm lost again

Carpathian moonlight Portage thru the night i walk the valley back thru time and space the hills turn to dust the water starts to rust the weary ground it covers up it's a constant destination my solitary friend where no one can ever find me i'm lost again

This train is bound for home castles made of stone pass me like a grey scale time zone I see the country in the sun twin cities on the run west coast for one more night of fun it's a constant destination my solitary friend no one can ever find me i'm lost again
Track Name: EWTKYN
take time separate sometime to be alone again
love hard but not enough just learn to love yourself
broke down suffocate sometime to be alone again
hold on communicate sometime to be alone

everybody wants to know your name
try so hard to not fuck with their heads
and you can't explain and you can't explain no you can't no you can't no you can't.

take time separate sometime to be alone again
love hard but not enough just learn to love yourself
broke down suffocate sometime to be alone again
hold on communicate sometime to be alone

try so hard to not fuck with their heads
and you can't explain and you can't explain no you can't no you can't no you can't.
Track Name: Stereo
I'm not gonna hang around
wasting time just being down again
I'm gonna live in stereo
Gonna Spend my time in open space
Breath the air at my own pace again
Gonna live in stereo
When everyone forgets about their youth
We'll sit around just planning our next moves
And get lost in the open sky
Leave behind those city lights
Make the best of what we have today
And then take it farther
We can laugh and we can cry
Get worked up then mystified sometimes
Gonna live in stereo
Gonna make some love and have some fights
Make mistakes then make things right again
Gonna live in stereo
And baby don't you know we'll have some fun
We'll take in all the mountains and the sun
Lift our heads into the sky
Blow out all those city lights
Make the best of what we have today
I was on the inside looking out
And then you came along and brought me happiness
You pulled me from beneath the lost and found
And helped me put my weary mind to rest
I'm not gonna hang around
wasting time just being down again
I'm gonna live in stereo
Gonna Spend my time in open space
Breath the air at my own pace again
Gonna live in stereo
When everyone forgets about their youth
We'll sit around just planning our next moves
And get lost in the open sky
Leave behind those city lights
Make the best of what we have today
And then take it farther
Track Name: Vancouver
miles of colored houses all covered up in snow
wet wind across my face oh darlin' don't you know
far away from my home the mountains that i love we said goodbye again and it's a long way to Vancouver

walk down to Commercial or maybe up to Main
look at all those lovers losing all their pain
and I left mine all behind all the memories I'd known oh to see what I could find and it's a long way to Vancouver

So i'll take what i can get through these troubled times
no time for regret and no tears left to cry
and i'll get myself together spend time with my friends oh through all the stormy weather it's a long way to Vancouver...
Track Name: Blue Mountain Molly
out in Kentucky met a girl named molly we had some dinner and a drink or two
now my heads spinning i found religion i kept a photo of what we went through
we drove my pickup out over Whitesburg i heard the crickets and the snakes and squirrels
out to the holler blue mountain molly she made me do things that i swore id never do
out in the country i saw my family grammas and grandpas and the devil too
i started screaming burning and bleeding the flaming reds and the greens and blue mountain molly...
molly's got a thing for me she keeps me warm and feeling free tries to give me comfort in the loneliness of night molly's got it out for me she trips me up when i can't see leads me to the deepest and the darkest of my fright
back to the city my life ain't pretty i got a secret that I can't declare
that girl named molly blue mountain molly only the devil knows i buried her out there...
Track Name: Lexington
the sun will rise again over the trees in Lexington
a place to leave my troubled world behind
singing with my friends i made all my amends but the hardest ones to make were with my own life
well the Colorado took the tears I cried and the Mississippi helped me ease my mind no time for regretting races run said I can't wait to be in Lexington

well I held the gold in my hand for some time and i threw it all away for nickels and dimes i laid down all my cards and i hit the ground so hard left there with the scars of a thousand miles
and the Ohio tried to wash my sins away and the Missouri steered my course to better days i miss all the laughter and the fun said i can't wait to be in Lexington

Lexington your pretty smile and your summer hair and your steel blue eyes sweet southern voice singing lullabies in my heart and in my mind

this song is for the ones I love the most to the ones who follow dreams instead of ghosts you got hell to pay tonight i'm gonna catch that train all right gonna take it to the river in the morning light and the waters gonna carry me to you we can go along just doing what we do we'll sit on your front porch singing songs said i can't wait to be in Lexington.
Track Name: Goodbye Blues
you woke up today the sun was on your face
looking for a reason looking for your place
oh thoughts of other times when your life was true now its time for moving on you gotta leave those goodbye blues

people come and people go yeah you've lost some friends
you cheated and you stole you even lost some bets
oh but learning don't come easy sometimes you gotta lose take what you can get and leave those goodbye blues

all the miles that you've walked all those lovers that you loved people talking all their talk they might push and they might shove oh but everyone is changing they're trying on new shoes maybe you should try on some and leave those goodbye blues

remember where you come from and know where you can go take care of your loved ones take the time to grow and keep following your heart what do you got to lose nothing but your troubles and all those goodbye blues.
